2022 Marching Band Season
“LEVEL UP” Show
Dear Lake Braddock Band Family,
The time has begun to prepare for next fall’s marching band season. Our show, “Level Up,” will explore the evolution of video games. As we create the show, we are working ideas of Pinball, Arcade, and video games through the years that grew out of home game consoles from 8bit to VE. Excerpts might include Super Mario Brothers, Zelda, and Civilization as examples.
While we are in the show development mode, we will be preparing our budget, competition schedule, and football schedule. However, we did want to provide you some initial start dates to place on your calendar.
Pre-School Rehearsals will begin in August. This time is required and imperative to the group’s success. We put a tremendous amount of work and staff into these weeks to have a lighter schedule when the school year begins. It allows us to be both the largest marching band in the state of Virginia and the least rehearsed, while still maintaining its reputation of excellence!
Drumline, Sideline Percussion (as well as double reeds), Color Guard, and Leadership will rehearse August 1st – August 5th from run 8AM to 4PM.
First Year or New Marchers Orientation will be August 4th and 5th from 9AM to 12PM.
All marching students will rehearse August 8th – 12th and August 15th – 19th from 8AM to 4PM.
After School Rehearsals will begin August 23rd with the following schedule:
Tuesday and Thursday Rehearsal from 3:30-5:30PM
Wednesday Sectionals from 3:00-4:00PM
