A special thanks to Carlotta Dallstream for procedural guidance and her support. And of course we all appreciate the parents who have agreed to serve as officers of BBB.

All parents are invited to get involved in the band. Click here for a Band Booster membership form in Word. You may join the band boosters for the small fee of $5. You can volunteer in one of the many activities to show your support for the students. Some jobs require a little of your time, while others are more involved. We welcome you, whatever you choose to do! Most important: be there for our children, in the stands, cheering for each and every performance. These can be the best days of your child's family life, and you surely want to make the most of them.

2007 - 2008 Band Boosters Officers and Standing Committees
The LAKE BRADDOCK BRUIN BAND BOOSTERS, INC. is a non-profit public charity (501.c3) incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide financial and organizational support to the band and color guard programs, their directors, and the school they represent. Volunteer activities are organized and promoted by the Board of Directors and committee chairpersons. The goal of over 400 parents and friends of the band is to help our children understand the value of teamwork, and the benefits of working toward positive goals. See the new 2007 Parent Guide.
Membership in the Bruin Band Boosters is open to any interested person. The membership fee is $5.00 per person per year. Membership entitles you to participate in all booster-sponsored activities, to attend free of charge the scheduled band concerts at Lake Braddock, and to vote on all issues brought before the organization at meetings of the general membership.
General Membership Meetings are held approximately 4 times per year (generally the second Mondays of Sept., Nov., Feb. or Mar., and May), explain upcoming events, and provide the membership with the opportunity to meet the band directors and the officers of the board. They also provide those who attend with the chance to directly ask questions they may have on any band subject. The meetings last about 1 hour, are held in the big band room at Lake Braddock , and are advertised in advance via the phone tree and in the newsletter. |
