Dear Band Parents and Students:

Last year, students (with the help of their parents) earned almost $9,000 from scrip, citrus sales and entertainment books; this message is about how we have made scrip usage easier for you.

We are now offering a few popular scrip choices in stock so that you do not have to wait for a twice-monthly order. We hope that having some Scrip readily available for you will make it easier for you to plan purchases of your everyday needs or holiday gift cards. Monique Fraedrich, our Scrip Chair, has a ready supply of Scrip for the following:

You can buy as many as you like as long as supplies last. If this turns out to be popular, we will increase inventories to match your demand.

Scrip is a great way to offset band costs! Two to fifteen percent is better than
many returns on bank Certificates of Deposit since you don't have to pay
tax on the earnings! Buy $100 worth of cards and your child will be
credited up to $4.00 right away as we will credit accounts as you pick
up the scrip.

What is scrip?
Scrip is a great opportunity to earn money for your child's band account
with minimal effort! Scrip is a one-for-one exchange. For example: you pay $20 for
a Starbucks gift card. You get a gift card for $20, and your student
earns .80 for their band account. You make up to 15% on all purchases.

Many merchants are offered: Giant, Panera Bread, JCPenney,
Blockbuster, American Eagle, etc.

The holidays are a great time to sell extra scrip. Ask neighbors and
friends if they need gift cards to send relatives or for teacher's
gifts. So many merchants are offered that your child's account can quickly
grow. One of the best deals is the single rental card at Blockbuster,
also makes a great teen gift!
